Ayush and Treta who lives in Bay area, California. Their wedding, held at Treta’s parental home, Jodhpur, known as Blue city of the country,  was grand and Royal. It looked like it was a Fairytale wedding – with so much color ultra cute decor and a palace meets vintage car destination.The serene Khimsar Fort perhaps the perfect setting for a wedding like this.

When I was 10-12, I came to Khimsar Fort. I’ve such fond memories, it was so beautiful and then we started looking for Wedding Venues Khimsar was an Obvious choice, says Treta.

A Desert Fortress Wedding in Jodhpur

Ayush and Treta’s wedding at The Khimsar Fort in Jodhpur was an extraordinary journey back in time. This 16th-century fortress, rising from the golden sands of the Thar Desert, offered a setting of raw, rugged beauty that perfectly complemented the grandeur of their traditional Rajasthani wedding celebrations. There is something truly magical about celebrating love within walls that have stood for five centuries.

Unlike the more polished palace venues, Khimsar Fort retains an authentic, untamed character. Its weathered stone walls, ancient courtyards, and panoramic views of the desert landscape gave Ayush and Treta’s wedding a distinctive sense of adventure. The pre-wedding portraits amid the fort’s ramparts at sunset — with the vast Thar stretching to the horizon — produced some of the most dramatic images in our entire portfolio.

The wedding ceremonies unfolded across the fort’s multiple courtyards. The mehndi took place in the intimate zenana courtyard, while the main ceremony was held in the grand durbar hall where generations of Rajput nobles once gathered. The sangeet night, set up in the open desert adjoining the fort with bonfires and folk musicians, felt like stepping into a Rajasthani folk tale.
