Royal Grandeur at Samode Palace
Ritika and Vivek’s destination wedding at Samode Palace in Rajasthan was a celebration fit for royalty. This 475-year-old palace, nestled in the Aravalli hills just an hour from Jaipur, combines centuries of Rajput heritage with modern luxury — making it one of India’s most coveted wedding venues. From the moment guests arrived through the ornate arched gateway, they were transported to an era of maharajas and grand celebrations.
The palace’s stunning Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), with its thousands of tiny mirrors and hand-painted frescoes, served as the breathtaking backdrop for the couple’s mehndi ceremony. The sangeet night unfolded in the palace’s magnificent courtyard, where centuries-old walls echoed with modern Bollywood music and joyful laughter. It was a mesmerizing blend of old-world charm and contemporary celebration.
The wedding ceremony took place in Samode’s meticulously maintained Mughal gardens, where the mandap was framed by ancient trees and the palace’s iconic facade. As Ritika made her entrance through a sea of rose petals, the golden afternoon light illuminated the scene in a way that felt almost otherworldly. Every corner of this heritage property offered a unique frame — from the dramatic staircases to the intimate jharokha windows.
Rajasthan continues to be the crown jewel of Indian destination weddings, and Samode Palace exemplifies why.
